I don't remember how the habit came to be, but I've always started the year by listening to a song that really means a lot to me.

on the first day of 2012 it was 'all this & heaven too', & as momma slept soundly despite the deafening fireworks I thought whether the year was going to be different, & whether I.

but oh, I never expected it to be such a whirlwind! the thrill of the labyrinth & the highs &t he lows, the crashes & the waves; they've left my body so tired but I don't want to sleep.

I don't have a song in mind for 2013, but Kelvin's coming over later &we'll (finally) watch Inception & maybe I'll have one by then.
